Project Summary
Total there are 36 project groups this year. Most of the groups comprise 4/5 members.We encourage students to take up sponsored projects. Almost all projects are sponsored by software companies. Some of the leading software companies who have sponsored this year’s projects are Persistent Systems Ltd., SunGard Technologies Services, KPIT Info Systems, ONGC, Cal soft etc.The various areas of the projects are Web based Application, Parallel Computing, Image Processing, Systems Programming, Embedded Systems etc.
This year certain groups are working on cutting edge technology/ Platforms like Google Application Engine, GXT, QT4.5.3 SDK, Hadoop, AJAX etc.Sponsored projects provides a good opportunity for students to learn best industry Practices, Industry environment, communication skills apart from technology learning during this one year.Department provides state of art configuration PC’s dedicated to each project group for development / deployment work in the Project labs.We encourage our student groups to participate in various intercollegiate project competitions including Concepts organized by PICT.
Students are consistently winning prizes in those competitions.Since last ten years, experts from Persistent Systems Ltd. (PSL) are evaluating short listed projects and help students further by their valuable inputs / suggestions, as a part of Project Competition to do better. The top three groups are awarded by PSL every year
