Information About The Department
The department offers undergraduate program of BE (Information Technology). This program was started in the year 2000.The intake capacity for the program is 60.The department is spread across two floors with 3 state of the art class rooms and 7 laboratories equipped with latest configuration machines with internet and softwares. All classrooms and laboratories are having LCD projectors as a teaching aid for better teaching learning process.
The first batch graduated in the year 2003. Over last five years, the final year results are above 95 percent with 19 rank holders in the University. The department is accredited by NBA (National board of Accreditation).
Since first rolled out batch in 2003, the industries like Google, Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, HP, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, KPIT and Persistent have absorbed our students. Salary offered is ranging from 16 lakhs per annum to 3.5 lakhs per annum by different companies to our students. Almost 70% of the students are placed every year through Campus Recruitment. Some students opt for higher education such as MS or MBA or MTech etc. from reputed universities.
The college has a MoU with Purdue University for Masters program. The first student to get the admission for this program was from IT department. In addition to this, our students are also absorbed by other Universities like Florida, Carnegie Mellon, Texas etc.
